This project was designed by Jane Greenoff for the cross Stitch Guild stitching day at Ackworth School. It is an attractive stitcher's project bag which has been modelled on Tudor Sweete bags. Sweete Bags were highy decorated bags commonly carried by both mena nd women, sometimes holding petals and herbs to ward off insects and disease. Sometimes the purse would hold a matching book of preayer or similar.

This Sweete bag uses Quaker designs and motif and can be stitched on Aida or linen fabric. It has designs on both the front and back of the bag.

The kit comes with yor choice of 28-count linen or 14-count linen-Aida, pre-sorted threads, gold-plated needle, lining fabric, charts in both colour and black & white symbols, with illustrated instructions.

Design Size of the bag, when folded and made up, 7.5 inch Square.
