Inspired by an antique reticule seen in a French market, this delicious little pouch is made in sections and then made up by hand. I am really pleased with this project and will be working on more designs as soon as I can.
The front includes a pretty sampler with a border, there are backstitch alphabets on the side sections and a faux ivory button closure on the back. This is much easier to make that it first appears! Each section is lined in hand dyed felt and outlined in backstitch and then this is used as part of the joining process.
