For years I have been looking at the patterns on my floors and thinking I must have a go at designing something with the rich oriental feel. Soon after we bought Pinks Barn, I went to an auction of carpets in Cirencester and brought home four carpets in the back of my car! As a family, we sat and had a carpet picnic after we had covered the stone floors!
The pattern is worked in pure cross stitch on 28-count unbleached linen and each piece is made up by hand. All the cross stitch is worked on one piece of fabric and then the elements are cut out and made up as shown in the pictures.
The pack includes the chart, illustrated instructions, threads, needle, buttons, hand dyed felt, Cashel linen and a pair scissors.
