I think they are a joy to stitch but then I would - wouldn't I!
There is apparently no such word as Embroideress! Well, that was until I designed and stitched this divine sampler! The design is counted from a chart but I have stolen a few stitches from the surface embroiderers. The kit is supplied on washed unbleached linen and includes pre-sorted stranded cottons (floss) and hand painted silk threads.

This is a beautiful band sampler with an enormous variety of stitches and techniques. There is a padded heart roughly in the middle of the sampler which hides my secret. Early in 2007, we lost our much loved dog, Charlie and so I have used some of his blonde hair to pad the heart and remind me of the fun he had in his Secret Garden.
The kit is available on washed unbleached linen only.
The chart pack includes all the instructions but is printed paper only. No embellishments are included.
Originally a five-part project for Members of the Cross Stitch Guild, this gorgeous band sampler is inspired by the Silverwood at Westonbirt Arboretum here in Gloucestershire. The kit includes the hand painted threads, silk ribbon, beads and gold plated needles.
This exquisite pocket sampler is made by hand and when folded is kept closed with a weighted eyelet band. It has decorated pockets on both sides, a needlebook and needle pad, pearl buttons, vintage glass beads, blending filament and full colour instructions.
Hemstitch Flowers is the first in a series of challenging projects not intended for the novice. It includes hemstitch square and additional counted stitches. Worked on 28-count Cashel linen.
This exquisite sampler is a genuine copy of a sampler stitched in the 1600s. The chart is available in Charted Antique Samplers if preferred.
The design is stitched with all the errors and oddities worked by Sarah Maydman
This exquisite band sampler was designed for us by Jane Napier, as a result of seeing The Goodhart Samplers. (There is a book, published by Needleprint - see Books.) A joy to stitch, but not for the faint- hearted!

This exquisite project was designed and stitched by Sue Hawkins, our first Technical Director. The book is made up of a linen cover with a folded hem, which is fairly plain so you can decorate it at will. There are a further six pages using different techniques including pulled and drawn thread, Hardanger, hemstitch, counted thread stitches and pure cross stitch.
