I make no excuses for enjoying working on pure linen and then working out complicated ways of folding the fabric to create these stitching treasures! It is worth taking the time to work these items and then use them to store your stitching, needles or other precious bits and pieces.
This is a very decorative sampler or Hussif (this was the term used for a decorative fabric roll with pockets and was the origin of the word ‘housewife). The design is worked as a band sampler and then folded to create the pockets.
