One of my first loves and still a great favourite with CSG Members. I have collected samplers for many years and still enjoy stitching them more than any other genre. Samplers were worked by children as young as seven years of age who showed such skill and attention that they put us to shame! Many of these designs may be worked on aida - just choose the fabric from the drop down box. If aida is not available this means that the design as charted will not work on aida material.
Designed and stitched by Jane Napier, this is one of a pair of lovely samplers inspired by the Mary Gollins sampler worked during the 18th century. The version in the picture was stitched on 32-count Belfast.
